Hollywood Hills Horror Project

What happens when a reality show becomes a murder mystery, and the cameras never stop rolling?

Hollywood Hills Horror Project is a reality-series-style dark comedy horror film about a group of influencers invited to a remote mansion high above Los Angeles for what they believe is a new Big Brother-style reality show. The house is stunning. The views are cinematic. Cameras are everywhere. Every room feels designed for confessionals, confrontations, breakdowns, and viral moments.

There is only one problem.

The producers never appear.

The contestants receive instructions through text messages, hidden speakers, and a calm voice over the intercom. At first, it feels like familiar reality-TV territory: alliances form, egos clash, flirtations begin, rivalries build, and everyone tries very hard to seem natural while being filmed from seventeen different angles.

Then the tone changes.

The doors lock. The phones stop working. The Wi-Fi disappears. There is no way out. The instructions become stranger. The challenges become crueler. The house, once a luxury backdrop, starts to feel like a trap.

And then the murders begin.

At first, no one knows what is real and what is part of the show. Is this an extreme producer twist? A ratings stunt? A psychological experiment? Or has something gone terribly wrong? As the bodies begin to appear and the rules keep changing, the remaining contestants realize the killer may not be outside the house.

The killer may be one of them.

Shot through security cameras, confessionals, narrator voice overs, phone footage, livestream clips, and documentary interviews, Hollywood Hills Horror Project uses the language of reality television to create a story that is frightening, darkly comedic, and uncomfortably familiar. The comedy comes from the absurdity of people trying to manage their image while their world collapses around them. The horror comes from the realization that the performance may no longer be optional.

It is not a parody of influencers. It is a dark comedy about the quest for fame, ambition, manipulation, and what happens when people who live for attention suddenly receive the wrong kind.

And just when the audience thinks it understands the game, the story delivers a major unexpected twist at the end (to be revealed only to members later in the development stage).

Hollywood Hills Horror Project is a darkly comic horror micro-series about reality TV, social media culture, and the terrifying possibility that the person standing next to you may be playing a very different role than you are.
